Today I started to follow the Crossfit Footballs strength program and plan on doing 3 of their metcons a week and see how that goes. I went pretty light on the weights.

7500k row at a very leisurely pace 42:22 which finished off the 100k!! Going to take the next 4 days off and then start a strength cycle see if I can regain all this loss strength. I'll be glad to get back to lifting weight instead of rowing. I'm hoping that by summer my numbers will be back to where they were and hopefully higher.

Ok I seriously need to get back on the AD.

I saw this pre-pregnancy pic and thought WTH. I obviously look and feel better when I follow the AD strictly and I intend on starting back up the day after Christmas. Also Jen and I are going to start a strength cycle which is always my favorite. Although I am so weak it will be a little discouraging. In the long run will be worth it. My goal is by summer to be back to my PRs and hopefully making some new ones.

I'm pretty much at a loss by my strength decreases. All I can think of it has to do more with lack of sleep than the pregnancy. I was still kipping the day before I gave birth and had recently PR'd on SP so I really wasn't expecting this. I guess I just have to give it time and try not to be too frustrated. (easier said than done)

So I decided to ease back into working out. I'm going to pick and choose workouts from the CFMom site for a couple weeks and then get back into the main site. I swear the 45# bar now feels like it weighs 65# not a good sign. But that's probably more from me being tired than anything else.

Obviously I've been slack on posting. I've been trying to nap a lot since Warrick sleeps most of the day away. Overall I feel pretty good just the normal soreness from after a baby. So pretty much my whole body hurts and I can't wait to feel back to normal again. I'm not going to do anything at all this week other than the normal outings and probably next week I'll start adding in some walking. So far the weight is coming off without any effort from me since I'm always hungry and seem to be eating more than when I was pregnant.

When I got home I weighed 150, which seemed impossible since I weighed 156 at birth and Warrick weighed over 7#, but I'm assuming fluid retention.

Yesterday I was down to 144 so 12# off my pre-pregnancy weight. I just went and weighed myself today 142 so now 10# off. Gotta love breastfeeding.

I'm going to take a couple days off till my next doc apt and get checked for signs of pre-labor. I've been having a lot of contractions last night I was up till 530 am. I really thought I was going to have to go in I finally fell asleep and slept till 10:30. Today, I haven't had too many. If Rick were home I wouldn't be concerned. However, I would really hate for him to miss the birth so going to try to take it easy in hopes to keep the little man inside a little longer.

*Worked out pretty late. I was pretty frustrated with my pull ups tonight. I could barely get over the bar and some I wasn't even over. I moved my grip in much closer and that seemed to help some. I'm not ready to give up pull ups yet!!! 1 week and 4 days and I hit the 6 month mark. I was really hoping to at least make it to 7 months and still kipping. Hopefully I was just having a bad night.

Hiking



Yesterday we took a hike to see a waterfall. There wasn't much rain so it was more like a trickle. The hike was really nice although I get tired easier now and when we got to the top the air was so thick and humid I felt sick. But was well worth it. Oh and I think the pic of my belly is too cute. The bamboo was beautiful.

I was feeling a little better. I did the triple whammy today tried everything I read works for being nauseated. Aromatherapy, the pressure point bands, and Vitamin B6 along with benadryl. Still had the headache but felt slightly better and was able to eat a little more. Fingers crossed will try it all again tomorrow.

Still feeling nauseated and headaches so I just can't even think of doing the metcons right now. So doing some of the things I won't be able to do much longer. And I have to say I am feeling so WEAK on the strength. I'm quite sure it's from my eating all I can seem to handle is carbs so my protein intake is very low and I'm sure my calories are lacking as well. I really hope this passes soon.

Deadlift

I went with DL today because I was short on time. And also I wont be able to DL very heavy pretty soon. I only went to 225 which is 35# off my max and that felt pretty heavy. I'm not feeling so great. Every time I even look at food it makes me feel nauseated. I'm trying to make sure I keep my calorie intake high enough but it is hard. Hopefully, this passes quickly. I am very glad today is a rest day.

Pregnant

So my big news is I have a baby in my belly! I went to the doc yesterday to confirm. It looks like the due date will be around Oct 20th. I'm a little over 6 weeks. I have already changed my eating habits, because I don't think the AD is the best approach right now. My initial plan was to take in 75-100 carbs daily and still keep my protein intake high. However, I have been feeling so sick that basically all I have been able to eat is carbs. I've been eating a lot of crackers and cereal. I am hoping this passes quickly so I can get back to eating better. I actually took yesterday off because I had such a bad headache it hurt to move. I figure after the first trimester I am going to start scaling the weight and maybe even follow the CFmoms website along with adding some lifting in but not heavy like usual. It will be interesting to keep up with CF while being pregnant.

I think my low calories is having the reverse affect and causing my body to store instead of burn. I guess we'll see in next couple of weeks if this works or not.

Kips were weak, and push ups... well that is a chink in the armor for me for sure. I always hit muscle failure. And I wish I could say they were all legit chest to the ground push ups but quite a few were not. I was down to singles each round. I guess I have to go back to adding parellette push ups in my warm up again. UGH!!! Nice job everyone... And yes Tammy those numbers are correct :) That wasn't much fun...

Well over all that sucked. Oddly I think the rowing was the worst part for me. The first two rounds my abs were screaming on the GHD after that wasn't too bad I just couldn't push through had to break them up in 10. I was breaking up the DL but not too much I guess I should go up in weight next time. I just hope this doesn't come up again for LONG time. Here's my sweat angel to show that was a beat down workout for me.

Early Day.

I figured I would get my workout over with early since I have to pick up Rick tonight.

That was a nasty workout. I had to keep stopping and take deep breathes so I wouldn't throw up. All that motion on the GHD and even the swings on the kipping I felt horrible. Not a good workout if you get motion sickness. The thrusters surprising felt fine it was everything else that did me in. I started out with the slow and steady approach first round was fine the second and third not so much. Oh well at least its over. Hopefully my tomato face will return to normal before I have to pick up Julia.

It was really nice to have a rest day today. My body was beat down from the last couple of cycles. And of course tomorrows doesn't look very good either!

OK, I SUCK and OHS... I really need to work on my core. I was very impressed with MIchelles PR of 100# that is pretty amazing. I know she will be doing BW OHS before we know it. I am very proud of her improvements over the last few months. Its hard to believe that the bar use to feel heavy and now shes holding 100 # overhead and squatting with it!!

I really need tomorrow as a rest day my body is feeling beat down.

UGH I underestimated that one. My pull-ups were sucking after the strength cycle and not working on them. My arms felt like lead on the second set. Good workout I'd like to try that again. Even though I hated every second of it while I was doing it! I can't believe how hard the kips felt...

Back on Track.

So it's a new year and I've decided I needed to get my eating back on track. No idea what happened... actually I do. I was unable to workout for 30 days started to feel sorry for myself and went back to eating carbs and off the AD. I tried to convince myself I was still on the AD however that was far from true. I could not seem to resist treats which had never been an issue with me the 9 months I had been following the AD. So anyway starting today I am back at square one and inputting everything I eat during the day and also making sure I am drinking enough water. Today was a success I took in 28g of carbs and 135g of protein and only 1177 Calories.

Todays workout

21 Back Squat started at 45# and worked up to 145. Last week when I did this I failed 2xs at 145 today I got 145 so next week my goal is to get to 150. I am willing to be patient with this long slow process, because BS is something I really need to work on.
